The Wilson Leadership Scholar Award recognizes and cultivates leadership potential and prepares undergraduate and graduate students to serve as Canada’s next generation of leaders.
It is a leadership development and career launcher program. Wilson Leaders commit about 15 hours per month to meeting with mentors and experts, taking on new experiences and building on current interests, and pursuing their personal and professional goals.
Leadership manifests itself in different styles, political views, and career paths, but all Wilson Leaders possess honesty and integrity, passion and compassion, courage and vision, a commitment to serving others and a love of learning.
Wilson Leaders join a leadership development program designed to bring out their best, and introduce them to new people and new ways of solving problems.
The Wilson Leadership Scholar Award invests in Wilson Leaders’ capacity to address real issues of significance to Canada.
Wilson Leaders earn much more than money. They join a community committed to excellence in leadership and character. This community is developed through a program grounded by the following pillars:
Mentorship
Community
Experience
Wilson Leaders will be paired with mentors selected to match their academic interests, leadership style, and potential career trajectory.
